What's been your most unexpectedly memorable travel experience, and why did it stand out among all your adventures?
People you meet on vacation. 13 years ago at Punk Rock Bowling and Music festival in Las Vegas my friend saw a girl eating alone at the restaurant and invited her to sit with us. We chatted for a couple hours then we went our separate ways. We have never seen each other again but thanks to social media we have become the greatest of penpals, cheerleaders, and have a true solid friendship. I have so many more casual acquaintances as well. Don’t live your life with your earbuds in; 7 billion people in the world and you are in the same place at the same time, what are the odds, take advantage and build community anywhere.

If you could magically transport someone reading this to one destination you've visited, which one would it be and why?
Angkor Wat, (Siem Reap) Cambodia, hands down has been one of the most magical places I have ever been. Wow, did it still feel incredibly wild, the people so friendly and the food delicious.
Coppola Family Hideaway, Turtle Inn, Placencia, Belize
Many travelers have a bucket list of destinations. What's one place you haven't been to yet that's at the very top of your list, and what draws you to it?
I really want to go Africa within the next 2-3 years- where? Oh I don’t know, I want to ride camels in the desert, shop the bazaars of Marrakesh, Morocco. I want go on a Nile river cruise, explore pyramids and ancient cities of civilizations past. Go on Safari and see Victoria Falls, maybe check out the penguins in South Africa. “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list”. - Susan Sontag

Traveling offers countless opportunities for breathtaking views. Can you describe a moment when you were truly awe-struck by the beauty of your surroundings?
Under the sea! 71% of the earth is water, so if you don’t go under, you will miss so much. There is something indescribable about your first encounters with a moon jelly, sea turtles, moray eels, or spotted eagle ray. Or the solemn reverence of days past when you’re exploring around a WW2 wreck. Simply incredible the colors of coral and how they foster symbiotic relationships with the world around them.
Stingray City, Grand Cayman
Many travelers have a favorite travel accessory or gadget that they swear by. What's one item you never leave home without, and how has it enhanced your travel experiences?
One item or three? Traveling in comfort is always a priority but business/first class is a rare treat- so my foot hammock has been a game changer for flights longer than a couple hours to help relieve pressure off the hips and low back. But of course, enough can’t be said for the importance of a small but powerful portable charger to keep your phone juiced up and a sound machine when staying in old buildings in popular European city centers when the party doesn’t stop till 3am.
